MMStat:
A powerful tool for diagnosing Federated OpenSplice domains.
The OpenSplice Memory Statistics Tool – MMStat is a command line tool which can be used to display valuable information about the shared memory statistics of an OpenSplice domain.
This video shows you how to run MMStat to get detailed information about a Federated OpenSplice DDS domain.
In this video you will learn how to:
- Setup your environment variable to ensure OpenSplice DDS runs.
- run the Ping/Pong example with MMStat on to visualize data use
- run the Ping/Pong example with MMStat in a more advanced mode to see entities used in an OpenSplice system.
The video should be viewed at 1080p for the text to be legible.
Software dependencies
Before running this demonstration you need this software installed on your machine:
- OpenSplice DDS
Running the roundtrip example
The video will show you how to get MMStat running, how to view objects in memory and runs through some of the basic help modes for the tool. Then an advanced mode of MMStat is used to view objects in memory discretely.
